Job Description:
This position is responsible for developing professional expertise through ongoing training in subject area. After extensive training on Vertex’s core products this individual will be able to understand key concepts in their own subject area(s) of focus to become fully billable at a client site.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Individual contributor who works on problems of limited to moderate scope.
  • Ability to make sound decisions on routine matters by applying explicit rules.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Will initially depend on others for instruction, guidance and direction and/or has a specified work structure.
  • As experience grows, exercises independence and judgment in the completion of familiar tasks and seeks guidance when needed.
  • May introduce new approaches within area of expertise.
  • Builds stable working relationships within the workgroup as well as with internal and/or external customers.
  • Lead or participate in other projects or duties as assigned.
  • May work remotely occasionally.
  • Travel approximately 10-50 %.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Familiar with software and software implementation process and methods such as Agile Methodology, customer service general business.
  • Familiar with industry terminology such as Cloud Computing, SaaS, Implementation and so on.
  • Ability to demonstrate and possess analytical, presentation, trouble-shooting and design skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, WORD, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain expected attendance at work and take accountability and manage time in person, at client locations, and remotely.
  • Sufficient knowledge of business communications, including telephone, voicemail, and e-mail, and operations of office machines, such as photocopier, scanner, and fax.
  • Ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends based on business need.
  • Ability to listen and understand information and communicate the same.
  • Must possess good organizational skills.
  • Must be results oriented, customer focused, and exhibit good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office packages.
  • Sufficient knowledge of business communications, including telephone, voicemail, and e-mail and operations of office machines, such as photocopier, scanner, and fax.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent
  • Zero (0) plus years of related experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
