ABOUT CHANGING LIVES PRODUCTIONS:
Changing Lives Productions is the video production company of Dhar Mann Studios, aimed at creating positive content for the social media generation. Our inspirational and motivational videos focused on life, business, and relationships receive over 1 Billion views monthly and have garnered over 40 Billion views on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. BIG PICTURE:
We are searching for an Assistant Editor to help us create cinematic viral videos for Facebook. We have an awesome team of screenwriters, casting associates, directors and shooters so this role would require performing all the technical aspects of editing a film in order for it to be successful on Facebook. The ideal candidate has strong experience with editing narrative films for Facebook and knows how to build emotion, create tension and increase the overall entertainment value of each film with little or no direction. Since we are a mission-led company and all of the content we create inspires people, the right candidate will find the long hours to be exciting and highly satisfying!

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
Creating videos from our YouTube productions and editing them to ensure viral hits on Facebook.
Testing formats, editing styles, grfx to maximize Facebook views and watchtime
Creating compilation videos and other methods of reusing our content to drive new viewership
Adjusting audio to provide the best quality possible
Adding subtitles and branding to all videos and ensuring all final files are complete and organized

WHAT YOU HAVE:
2 Years experience editing videos
An understanding of the Facebook platform, algorithms, testing capabilities and the best practices to optimize video edits for the platform
Experience in the Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.
Demonstrated video editing ability with a strong portfolio - strong preference given to prove Facebook success
Ability to work in a fast paced environment on a wide variety of projects
Ability to learn quickly and is a team player
Skilled in handling quick output without losing quality
Experience working with audio files to get acceptable audio

Ability to speak and write English

WHO OVERSEES YOU:
The Assistant Editor reports directly to the Editing Manager

WHO YOU OVERSEE:
Currently, the Assistant Editor has no personnel reporting directly to him or her

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:
Our Assistant Editor will work remotely from home or personal office and will be required to utilize Dhar Mann Studios time tracking software to log and submit work hours

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, with schedule flexibility. Will be discussed in depth during the interview
